We are pleased to be hosting the 5th instance of the Summer Course on Image-Based Biomedical Modeling (IBBM) in Park City, Utah in July 2018!

This two-week summer course offers field-specific expertise and hands-on experience solving bioelectric or biomechanical problems that arise in current biomedical research and clinical practice. Participants receive training in numerical methods, image analysis, and computational tools necessary to carry out end-to-end, image-based, subject-specific simulations in bioelectricity or biomechanics, using freely available software developed under the umbrella of the Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute. The course provides a unique opportunity for students with backgrounds in mathematics, physics, computer science, or bioengineering to discover the opportunities in applying computing to biomedical science. Students in the biomechanics track will receive in-depth training on the theory and use of the FEBio software suite.

We received 60 fellowship applications this year, and we plan to award between 20-30 fellowships. We will be notifying the fellowship awardees in late March 2018.

Registration for the course will be open until April 16, 2018.
We look forward to welcoming you to Park City!
